The VGreen 165 variable speed motor joins a growing Century lineup of premium efficiency ECM replacement pump motors. Fully featured, the VGreen 165 incorporates durable TEFC construction with ECM technology to deliver premium energy savings from 40 percent to 80 percent versus a standard single speed motor. Now energy conscious pool owners have an affordable replacement pump motor option that delivers the performance they demand with the programming flexibility they desire.
The VGreen 165 offers three variable speeds programmable from 600 to 3450 RPM, allowing users to easily identify and set the appropriate speeds to minimize energy consumption and lower the overall cost of pool ownership all while maintaining the proper pool environment. Pool size, the presence of additional water features, chemical maintenance needs, and environmental factors will impact the equation with every pool having unique requirements. The programming flexibility offered by the VGreen 165 makes it possible for pool owners to easily identify and adjust speed and duration settings necessary to maintain their pools and to maximize energy savings.

Motor Failure:
Shaft seal failure is the major cause of motor failure. This allows moisture to go back to the motor causing corrosion and much more. One of the causes of a shaft seal going bad is the result of the pump running dry which heats up all the parts inside the pump causing damage. It's always best to replace the shaft seal when installing a new motor. If the motor fails due to water damage it can void the manufactures warranty.
